I love this Book of the Psalms. It has totally enhanced my devotions. I write one psalm out every day and began shortly before Oct. 7. Then I heard the request to pray the psalms for the iDF. I feel closer to Israel every time I open this. I truly love it and have given it to three people.
My first experience in reading the Psalms happened years ago as a teenager when I came across Psalm 137, "By the rivers of/Babylon." Those verses and those of Psalm 23 ("Though I walk through/a valley of deepest/darkness...) resonated with me ever since. What prompted me to buy the Psalms: Pray like David were a few reasons: my wanting to support Israel; the poetry and themes of the Psalms themselves and as a former student of Ancient Greek and Latin, I was intrigued by this unique transcription of English and Hebrew. Those are the reasons I can articulate; no doubt there are others which are not easily defined. The generous size of this edition is also a plus. Most compelling of all, when reading these psalms in their English translation is the sense of love and intimacy that the writer captures in his relationship with God, and you as the reader experience this contemporaneously. This book of Psalms, to paraphrase lines from Shakespeare, makes hungry where it most satisfies.

Fast shipping
It's wonderful to be able to double-check my pronunciation of the Hebrew Psalms every morning during my prayer time. So many Hebrew words have Masoretic Hebrew symbols and accent marks that seem unusual to me. But It would be great to have a spiral binding, to keep the book open, without my hands on it.

Many of us, including myself, likely have several versions of The Book of Psalms depending on which Bible you might be reading from with variance of nuance. What makes The Israel Bible Book of Psalms a standout is a more polished reading for the simple reason alone that it is a translation of Hebrew by Rabbi's and other learned Jewish people. With that kind of background authenticity the reading of the Psalms just "feels" a bit more satisfying than from other versions. As a single volume this Book of Psalms is easier to carry around to take with you to the park or wherever you desire to muse and pray as you read with your heart. The Hebrew is alongside the English words, and while I am not fluent, I do enjoy identifying key Hebrew words within the actual Hebrew as I read and study. I hope that you get to enjoy this volume as much as I do.
I like the layout of the pages. Stand by Me books—the Hebrew font is difficult to read.
This is a beautiful book with the Psalms written in Hebrew and English, along with transliteration of the Hebrew text. It's the perfect way to read and meditate on the Psalms.

I liked it
I love this book but as a senior I cannot access the extra small type of the notes with the photos. I would suggest ditching the pronunciation guide and using larger fonts even in the text. A larger page would accommodate larger type throughout (larger type makes a foreign language more accessible) without making the book any thinker. This version is my favorite rather than Pray Like David version, which has a great title/concept but for those who don't want a transliteration and the commentary and simple side-by dies English and Hebrew, this is great!
Our pastor is going to start preaching through the book of Psalms and I am excited to use my Israel Bible edition. However, I was looking through it and Chapter 150 starting on page 375 is not in my book. It ends with page 374. Can I have the missing pages sent to me?
