Discover Shabbat's Beauty
Shabbat is more than a day off—it’s God’s gift of rest, family, and faith. This practical guide shows you how to welcome Shabbat into your life with joy and meaning, step by step.
No guesswork. No stress. This book gives you easy instructions, Hebrew insights, and inspiring reflections so you can celebrate Shabbat with confidence and love for Israel’s traditions.
I’ve been resting in Shabbat on the biblical sabbath since 2000. It’s life changing, and I always like to learn more and go deeper with the LORD on that day. Thank you for the book. I also love reading Abraham Heschel books .
I have only just started reading but I love it because I have finally got something concrete to follow. My plan is to open our home for those like-minded folks up here in Kaitaia! It will be an adventure and I thank you all for your assistance!
Greetings,
Linda Steffen
I have started reading the book and practicing the Shabbat instructions inside. I am very glad that I found your book through passion for truth. This book answers my questions.
Sincerely,
Peggy Essex
We are hosting a "get acquainted with Shabbat" evening on May 29 with about 40 guests coming. Our goal is to share this amazing experience in a way that it will draw people closer to the Lord and His Word. We are making your book available for those interested in exploring more of the beauty of Shabbat and you have done a wonderful job explaining it.
Thank you for loving us enough to share this. We have needed it for a long time and didn't quite "get it!"
I am very pleased with this latest book. As a Messianic Jew, who just found out through a DNA test in 2018 that I am Jewish on my mother’s side (and living in a remote village, where there is no Jewish community) I depend on Jewish sites such as yours, as well as many others to learn and grow. I am finding a number of Christians are interested in learning more about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith and how we are commanded in Genesis 12:3 to bless the land of Israel and her people. Learning about the importance of Shabbat is just one of those ways to understand Hashem’s original plan, and is one of the ways to build bridges of understanding and blessing. Todah Rabah! Love & Prayers, Leah ✡️

I just started reading it but so far I like what I’m reading! As a Christian it isn’t always easy to find information on what we should be doing to honor and celebrate Shabbat. Hoping this will help us to grow and give us deeper meaning in our Shabbat rest. Thank you for sharing insights to help us in our journey.
I am a Christian. Several years ago I had the thought that since Christianity has as it's roots the Jewish faith that there might be aspects of that belief that I should be aware of and perhaps practice. Having no one to guide me, I did a little research to find out about the timing of the Sabbath, the lighting of candles, the prayers, the meal on Friday night. I bought a tray and some little tea lights and very simply tried to honor the event knowing I was far from knowing what I was doing but at the same time wanted to honor the faith and the practice. I've just started reading the book - hope is I will gain knowledge and understanding - in time, adopted as part of the Creators family, I can follow His instructions more clearly.
I have been trying to find out about Shabbat for Christians. I believe we have been missing out on blessings. After only a few pages, I am certain we are.
What caught my attention? The unbelievably accurate description of Life in 2025!
"Never has humanity been more in need of Shabbat's wisdom than today. We live in what sociologists call an "acceleration society" where the pace of life increases exponentially with each passing year. The very technologies that promised to liberate us have instead become our taskmasters, creating a state of permanent accessibility and endless productivity."
....
"We are experiencing what philosophers call "time famine" - the perpetual feeling of never having enough time. It's ironic: despite all our time-saving devices and productivity tools, we feel more rushed than ever before. Even our leisure has become a form of work as we "optimize" our workouts, "maximize" our vacations, and feel pressure to make every moment "count". We have lost the art of simply being. We are more connected than ever through social media, yet studies show we are lonelier than any previous generation."
Let's remember we are human beings, not human doings, and learn what GOD'S way teaches through His weekly Shabbat Rest.
For those of us who believe in the Sabbath, this book is a great tool backing up the significance of the importance of The Sabbath grounding us with our Creator
